flat out and hands down the must see show of the month. jane vain is on tour from calgary; she has that whispery fertile voice and that eclectic and discerning band and those keenly insightful lyrics. i just know that the tastemakers of canada are in some underground lair in montreal right now arguing over how soon to give her a juno. if gian gets his way it will be this coming ceremony, but the haircut from muchmusic and his little cabal are arguing to wait one more year. whatever the outcome, mark my words, this rising star will be one that we won’t all eventually be ashamed to have represent us on the national stage.
